About
this role





This role provides excellent exposure to a
broad range of activities required to analyze data, create advanced VBA
based tools, use programming to create applications, and support continued
innovation in the Financial Services business.





The Quant specialist position is for
individuals interested in building, managing, and growing a proprietary data
asset--the foundation for any data science, strategic planning or
research-oriented career. The role will provide exposure to the full
array of strategic data work: data management and automation; benchmarking;
report design and generation, proprietary performance models, data-driven
member tools, and advanced data analyses in search of industry-level
insight.





What
you will do





The selected incumbent will be part of the
FLORS Quantitative Insights team quantifying and addressing business
performance challenges facing today's senior-most executives at leading fortune
500 companies. Project responsibilities include:



+ Data aggregation and analysis


+ Processes automation to make reporting more
efficient and make data insights easy to consume


+ Creation and development of small-scale web
applications


+ Creation and development of excel based tools
for intelligent analysis


+ Translation of existing
excel-based tools to web-based applications

Who you are:



+ Have at least 2 years' experience working with advanced excel VBA/macros


+ Must have exposure to R, Python or any other programming language. Should be able to share examples of products created through R/Python


+ Experience with basic application development (knowledge of packages such as Shiny and ggplot2 would be a plus)


+ Degree in IT/computer science or related field


+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including macros and VBA)


+ Proficiency with R or Python (knowledge of packages such as Shiny and ggplot2 would be a plus)


+ Computer programming knowledge and experience (such as Visual Basic, C#, SQL and .Net)


+ Knowledge of Tableau Online, Micro Strategy or other data visualization tools a plus.


+ Basic knowledge and/or strong interest in working with statistical packages, especially SPSS and/or R.


+ Working knowledge of D3, High charts or other charting libraries


+ Very good oral and written communication skills


+ Ability to clearly and effectively communicate quantitative information (oral and in writing) to senior executives


+ Proficiency with basic statistical concepts


+ Ability to work either independently and in a team environment


+ Work well with team members based in other geographies


+ Self-motivated/self-starter


+ Exceptionally high attention to details
